We grow and harvest our willow in Suffolk then design and build a tailor-made continuous fence to compliment your garden
To make our fence we drive iron posts into the ground, place 3-year-old willow sticks as uprights, and then weave around the irons and sticks. The fences are deceptively strong due to the wood fibres being entirely intact and also the weave allows some wind to pass through thus preventing the fence blowing over.
We can work on top of an existing wall to provide additional screening. (note not all walls are suitable we would be happy to advise)
The natural colour is a sympathetic backdrop for plants and the structure provides an ideal frame for climbers, in fact, they will help to protect your fence from the elements. Your fence should last between ten and fifteen years but often fences need a new top and a tidy up after eight or so years. Some people have extended the life of their fences by treating with half and half turpentine and linseed oil which we have for sale please ask or buy online.
The flexible nature of the willow enables us to contour for all shapes and sweeps of a garden, encompassing arches, gates, curves and changes of height.
Although ideally suited to a rustic setting our fences will also perfectly complement a contemporary design.
